Eric Clapton PNC Bank Arts Center

After getting through the crazy traffic on Parkway South, we arrived at the Eric Clapton concert around 8:00, so we missed the first act just finishing up some amazing covers of Jimi Hendrix songs. Eric arrived on stage and the place went nuts, and despite arriving late—we had decent seats.

Clapton covered a great variety of his career, from Blues to Current, and he even had a little acoustic jam session in the middle. No "I Shot the Sheriff", but I did get to hear my favorite two songs of all time "Running on Faith" and "Cocaine", which I for some reason didn't think that he ever played live anymore after the addiction.

All in all it was an amazing night, and the weather held out. The smell in the air was that of cheap cigars and with a heavy mixture of the sweat leaf–but it's a Clapton concert and the hippies were in full display. I was so glad to get tickets for the show because the place sold out, and it was an unforgetable evening. Clapton was top on my "must see" and I am so glad to be able to start picking some of these names off the must see list. Next on my list is the Heartbreakers, Aerosmith, and the list goes on.

Below I posted a few sound clips from the night, but be aware they are pretty ugly quality.
